Ron’s sister, Kim Goldman, has said it was never about the money, but about holding Simpson accountable. After the civil judgment was handed down by the court in 1997, Simpson said he didn’t have the money to pay them. In the late 1990s, estimates about his net worth varied from $850,000 to $15.7 million. He is listed as the chief executive of a handful of California-based businesses, most of which were created in the 1970s or ’80s. OJ Simpson Enterprises reported $873,000 in sales in March, though it’s not clear where that money originated. LaVergne walked back that statement Monday, saying he was responding to “highly inflammatory” remarks made by the Goldman family’s attorney after Simpson’s death.

O.J. Simpson’s death certificate confirms his cause of death, lawyer says

By noon, there were a few cars in the sunny lot, which had always been full in pre-pandemic days. But by one o’clock, traffic had slowed to a drip, the odd car stopping to pick up fry bread, stew, and the ancient O’odham flatbread, ceme’t. No carp are native to North America, but four species brought over in the 1970s create particular anxiety in the Midwest because they’re outcompeting other fish species and harming mussels.

How The Fry Bread House, a Mainstay of Indigenous Cuisine, Perseveres

And that was before March 2020, when state and national shutdowns closed restaurants and the coronavirus began devastating Indigenous communities in Arizona and nationwide. Berkeley may be the Bay Area’s hippie seat but the city itself is Ohlone territory. The original inhabitants of the Bay Area were once numerous and lived entirely off and in concert with the land. There are about 5,000 existing tribe members—including Vincent Medina and Louis Trevino, partners and founders of Cafe Ohlone, who want to revive those ancient ways.

Students at the University of Delaware studying hedgerows clogged with this and other invasive species found that 90% of caterpillars disappeared from those areas. Now, with some help from the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks, here are some tips for harvesting invasive species. Recently, we brought you a guide to planting native species at home, and the importance of gardening local. You may even become inspired to help local birds and butterflies by ripping out invasive shrubs to make room for the native plants their offspring need. The family received just over $132,000 of the total liability, according to a 2015 court document filed in the civil case.

The “Tocabe Favorite” includes bison ribs cured for 24 hours before they’re glazed with a berry barbecue sauce and served with a side of fry bread—a flat, fried dough that’s a staple of Native American cuisine. Today, there are more than 570 federally recognized Native American tribes across the United States, each with their own distinct food traditions and flavor profiles. For these contemporary chefs, serving Native dishes is all about showing that the cuisine isn’t “survival food” but rather rich, diverse, and contemporary. And it’s also about supporting local communities that are often overlooked by the American mainstream. For chef Sean Sherman, founder of the Sioux Chef, uplifting local Native communities is one of his top priorities in his work.

Because of its origin, fry bread is somewhat controversial. It was invented by Native American tribes but at the cost of their own historical cuisine. The recipe was handed down to Cecilia Miller, Richards's mother, from her mother. "It's dangerous to come back here," Richard Perry says as he weaves his way through the hot kitchen of The Fry Bread House. Nationally, the unemployment rate for Native Americans is nearly double that for other Americans. Some Fry Bread House employees have spouses long or newly out of work, while others have unemployed or dependent children, grandchildren, and extended families to feed.

They're not too thin, but not a steak fry — these are slender, lengthy boys encased in a nicely crunchy shell. Every piping-hot fry's surface is heavily textured and simply seasoned with just the right amount of salt and pepper (or so it's seemed when we've had them). These are very good fries — like two full rungs above fast food. They conjure the humble home kitchens where dough crimps and flour clouds catch the light — the true spirit of pasta. This vibrantly decorated restaurant located near the Fruitvale BART Station opened in November 2022 and is run by Crystal Wahpepah, the first Native American chef to have been featured on the Food Network’s Chopped. A member of the Kickapoo Tribe of Oklahoma, Wahpepah was born and raised in the Bay Area and ran a catering business for 12 years, preparing food for tech companies like Google and Twitter, before opening her restaurant. At Wahpepah’s Kitchen, patrons can expect standout dishes like Kickapoo chili with bison and blue cornbread (perfect for the foggy, cool Bay Area weather) and bison and blue corn meatballs, served with a turnip slaw. Expect to see lots of proteins like bison, salmon, and venison—all native to the region and selected by Wahpepah to honor the Ohlone people, the original inhabitants of the Bay Area, and their diet. The Fry Bread House is a great lunchtime stop—you'll be able to have a filling taco, side, and drink, for just about under $10—but be prepared for a rush, as it's a popular midday destination. Consider how many people delight in tending to native plants. It quickly brings bumblebees and butterflies back to the neighborhoods they abandoned, delighting the gardeners. Through the food served at Miijim, chef Bryce Stevenson hopes to tell the history of the Ojibwe people. “My mother wanted it to just be a place where Indian people, indigenous people could come here and enjoy a meal when they came into town, away from the reservation communities," Perry said. The James Beard Award, though an amazing accomplishment, did not change The Fry Bread House. It's still small, the staff is still the same, and the food is unchanged.

At Owamni, guests can expect modern Indigenous fare like elk choginyapi (an open-faced sandwich) served with sweet potatoes and pepitas and bison tacos wrapped with tortillas made from heirloom corn. And most recently Owmani won Best New Restaurant at the 2022 James Beard Awards. And yet the popularity of these comfort foods has kept the beloved second-generation open for decades, despite difficult odds. Like other Indigenous restaurants, The Fry Bread House has faced perpetual obstacles on top of long hours and slim margins, including poverty, racism, disproportionate health crises, and other injustices that afflict Indigenous communities.

For the families of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman, it has been nearly three decades of court fights, painstaking forensic accounting, detective work and, ultimately, frustration. “Our goal is to create an understanding of what Native food is,” says Jacobs, who opened the eatery in 2008 with his former Denver University classmate Matt Chandra. And she left a legacy of fry bread that her kids will pass on, just as she did. It was passed around and passed down, all the way to Cecilia Miller.

Descriptive Research: Design, Methods, Examples, and FAQs

research design for descriptive research

Suppose an apparel brand wants to understand the fashion purchasing trends among New York’s buyers, then it must conduct a demographic survey of the specific region, gather population data, and then conduct descriptive research on this demographic segment. If you’re not sure which methods will work best for your research design, try reading some papers in your field to see what data collection methods they used. Observations allow you to gather data on behaviours and phenomena without having to rely on the honesty and accuracy of respondents. This method is often used by psychological, social, and market researchers to understand how people act in real-life situations.

Quantitative Research – Methods, Types and...

It provides a comprehensive understanding of the “what” of the group or thing you’re investigating. Organizations use descriptive research designs to determine how various demographic groups react to a certain product or service. Quantitative studies are time- and resource-intensive, so knowing the hypotheses viable for testing is crucial. The basic overview of descriptive research provides helpful hints as to which variables are worth quantitatively examining.

She must conduct a demographic survey of the region, gather population data, and then conduct descriptive research on this demographic segment. The study will then uncover details on “what are the water management practices and trends in village X.” Note, however, that it will not cover any investigative information about “why” the patterns exist. In survey research, respondents answer through surveys or questionnaires or polls.

How does descriptive research compare to qualitative research?

Surveys are a type of descriptive research that involves collecting data through self-administered or interviewer-administered questionnaires. Additionally, they can be administered in-person, by mail, or online, and can collect both qualitative and quantitative data. In this blog, we will explore the definition, characteristics, and common flaws in descriptive research design, and provide tips on how to avoid these pitfalls to produce high-quality results.

Case selection in qualitative research

Total of 26 service providers, program managers, and focal persons were participated through four focus group discussion and five key informant interviews. Our findings also suggest that service providers require additional training, particularly in programmatic management of drug-resistant tuberculosis. Qualitative description (QD) is a term that is widely used to describequalitative studies of health care and nursing-related phenomena.

This can be highly beneficial when you’re looking to understand the behaviors or preferences of a wider population. For example you might want to understand what percentage of CEOs have a bachelor’s degree or higher. Or you might want to understand what percentage of low income families receive government support – or what kind of support they receive.

Therefore, this method is often used to describe a specific subject’s different characteristics rather than generalizable facts. Descriptive research can prove to be a useful tool when trying to test the validity of an existing condition as it involves conducting an in-depth analysis of every variable before drawing conclusions. Naturalistic observation can be conducted by observing boys’ shoes in schools, malls, playgrounds, and other public spaces. In this article, we’ll look at what cross-sectional studies are, how it applies to your research and how to use Formplus to collect... In this article we’ll look at the different types and characteristics of extrapolation, plus how it contrasts to interpolation. Descriptive research explores research problems in-depth, beyond the surface level thereby giving a detailed description of the research subject.

Types of quantitative research designs

It involves open-ended interviews, observations, or small-scale surveys to gather qualitative data. The main purpose of descriptive research design is to describe and measure the characteristics of a population or phenomenon in a systematic and objective manner. It involves collecting data that describe the current status or condition of the population or phenomenon of interest, without manipulating or altering any variables.

Descriptive research methods

Descriptive statistics can include measures of central tendency (e.g., mean, median, mode) and measures of variability (e.g., range, standard deviation). I understood from my MDR-TB patient’s words that he kept to himself and avoided social interaction. He made this decision as a result of stigmatization by locals, including health extension workers. In addition, medical professionals exclude MDR-TB patients due to fear of exposures. Globally, an estimated 20% of previously treated cases and 3.3% of new cases are thought to have MDR-TB; these levels have essentially not changed in recent years. Globally, 160,684 cases of multidrug-resistant TB and rifampicin-resistant TB (MDR/RR-TB) were notified in 2017, and 139,114 cases were enrolled into treatment in 2017 [12].

Participants’ perceptions of specific care, interventions, or programswere described in detail in 11 articles. All researchers presented their findings withextensive descriptions including themes or categories. In 25 of 55 articles, figures ortables were also presented to illustrate or summarize the findings.

Descriptive studies are useful for estimating the burden of disease (e.g., prevalence or incidence) in a population. For instance, information on prevalence of cataract in a city may help the government decide on the appropriate number of ophthalmologic facilities. Data from descriptive studies done in different populations or done at different times in the same population may help identify geographic variation and temporal change in the frequency of disease. This may help generate hypotheses regarding the cause of the disease, which can then be verified using another, more complex design.

Inferential research, however, involves making inferences or generalizations about a larger population based on a smaller sample. Descriptive research typically involves analyzing data to generate descriptive statistics, such as means, frequencies, or percentages, to describe the characteristics or behaviors observed. Descriptive research is primarily concerned with providing an objective representation of the subject of study without explaining underlying causes or mechanisms.

A systematic review in Ethiopia reported 2% prevalence of MDR-TB [3] that is higher than what is observed in Sub-Saharan Africa, 1.5% [13]. The prevalence of MDR-TB, according to the national drug-resistant tuberculosis (DR-TB) sentinel report, was 2.3% among newly diagnosed cases of TB and 17.8% among cases of TB who had already received treatment,. This suggests a rising trend in the prevalence of TB drug resistance compared to the results of the initial drug-resistant TB survey carried out in Ethiopia from 2003 to 2005 [14]. A blueprint of the procedure that enables the researcher to maintain control over all factors that may affect the result of an experiment. Experimental research is often used where there is time priority in a causal relationship (cause precedes effect), there is consistency in a causal relationship (a cause will always lead to the same effect), and the magnitude of the correlation is great.

However, there is no way to assess the findings because you don’t manipulate any variables statistically. For instance, descriptive research can help determine how many CEOs hold a bachelor’s degree and what proportion of low-income households receive government help. It involves using a subset of a larger group as a sample to characterize the features of that larger group. Once you’ve clearly stated your criteria and objectives, you must also specify the nature of the data that must be gathered. When employing this research method, the researcher can choose to be a complete observer, an observer as a participant, a participant as an observer, or a full participant.

Explanatory research seeks to explain the relationships between variables and uncover the underlying causes or mechanisms. It is primarily concerned with providing an accurate and objective representation of the subject of research. While analytical research goes beyond the description of the phenomena and seeks to analyze and interpret data to discover if there are patterns, relationships, or any underlying factors. Correlational research is a type of descriptive research, which is used to measure the relationship between 2 variables, with the researcher having no control over them. It aims to find whether there is; positive correlation (both variables change in the same direction), negative correlation (the variables change in the opposite direction), or zero correlation (there is no relationship between the variables). Qualitative observation, on the other hand, involves the monitoring of characteristics and not the measurement of numbers.

Researchers must carefully consider descriptive research methods, types, and examples to harness their full potential in contributing to scientific knowledge. Descriptive research is a research method describing the characteristics of the population or phenomenon studied. This descriptive methodology focuses more on the “what” of the research subject than the “why” of the research subject. Data collection methods are ways of directly measuring variables and gathering information. They allow you to gain first-hand knowledge and original insights into your research problem.

Boschetti renovated this French Colonial home with an emphasis on layered textures and patterns, including graphic black-and-white prints on the walls and furniture. Brit Epperson of Studio Plow remade this home, which had recently been renovated with more traditional materials, to suit her clients' contemporary aesthetic by filling it with undeniably modern furnishings. Because modern living rooms aren't all light and airy, they can be dark and dramatic too. Create a very chic, cocooning space by painting all four walls with very dark charcoal, or adopt a black living room scheme if you are after something softer. Bold colors work just as well in a contemporary living space, and you can add them with accessories (cheaply), furniture (a bit more of an outlay), or interior paint color trends (small outlay, bigger effort).

This tiny living room feels incredibly luxe thanks to a combination of woodworking, brass finishings, and elegant décor. If you love pink but still want your space to feel sophisticated, opt for a pale blush. These colors shouldn't work together, but the bold use of pink and red in small doses creates a fun vibe to this otherwise minimalistic space. Rugs up the cozy factor of your space, but if you want a more sleek, sophisticated feel, skip the rug altogether.

A wall of windows allows plenty of natural light into this space—and offers views of the homeowners' colorful flowering shrubs. The clean lines of the upholstered furniture, hidden media storage, and dark metallic accents keep the focus on the great outdoors. For the great room in this 1925 French Norman home, Boschetti worked with a monochrome color palette for the walls and trim, matching furniture, a string light chandelier, and vinyl mirrored paper on the ceiling.

Set a moody tone in your living room by painting walls and built-ins black. Although the dark color is bold, it creates a timeless look and cozy ambience when paired with lighter accents. Pale wood floors, a cowhide rug, and a plush tufted sofa soften and brighten the space. Styling built-ins can help you create visual breaks in the dark paint color through stacked books, layered picture frames, or decorative accents. If neutral schemes make your creative side go to sleep, look to colorful living room ideas to awaken and energize the space.

Intentional Accent Color

You don't need to have a one-track mind when looking for living room ideas, transitional living rooms that blend old and new are perfect for creating timeless spaces. Want to dress up bare walls but traditional artwork feels overplayed? Consider dousing your space in decorative mirrors—just as Jacques Grange did in this Portuguese pad. Not only does this woven arrangement add some character to this spacious room, but the number of reflective spaces also helps bounce the light around just right. Interior designer Cliff Fong decorated this 1927 Mediterranean-style mansion in Los Angeles with a sartorial eye.

Do as Anne Sage did in this home and add a rug to your living space to define that area. Take a cue from Atlanta design duo Forbes Masters the next time you're thinking of mixing patterns. The team blended small motifs like herringbone with a more organic watercolor print of the rug with a larger mudcloth pattern on the pillow.

Since the bold color is next to plenty of natural light, it keeps it from overpowering the space. Make a small living room feel like a jewel box by adding wallpaper. If you want to avoid anything too bold, choose a neutral color in a fun pattern. Sarah Fultz of Sarah Fultz Interiors isn't afraid of a bold color choice. She covered the brick fireplace, walls, and ceiling of this living room in a deep hunter green shade, keeping the floors and furniture light.

All-white rooms are a contemporary living room idea that needs a dose of personality. Bright red and blue patterned throw pillows pack a punch of contrast while keeping the space calm and relaxing. In addition, using dark wood furniture prevents the room from looking washed out. Jewel tones, like jade green, sapphire blue, and ruby red, can be used for a living room idea that fashionably fuses in a modern and accessible way. Draw your palette from a lively patterned fabric or oversized artwork featuring at least three bright colors. Introduce the attention-getting hues with solid-color lamps, vases, trims, and furnishings so they contribute a sense of vibrancy without overwhelming your design.

Ease every renter's commitment phobias with the best peel-and-stick wallpapers and add some neon lighting for a modern party house vibe. The gilded mirror above the fireplace, similar in style to the Aireana Traditional Wall Mirror, from Wayfair; and the chandelier, make this lounge space feel elegant and sophisticated. Yes, you can go far with just a touch of gold or max out with a gold drinks trolley in the corner for a glam 1920s touch. Shown here, combination dressers frame either side of the fireplace, making an undeniably impactful feature, showcasing styled shelfies and decorative logs. Open shelving gives smaller decorative objects a platform to dazzle, whilst adding mixed details, layered depth, and interest to the overall aesthetic. These living room decor ideas are sure to inspire, and even if you don't replicate the room like-for-like, there's something you can pick out and play about with as part of your next project.

A mix of textures, shapes, and colors, as seen in this design by Karen Emile of Milk & Honey Life, is a smart way to go. Features like wainscoting should be highlighted, like designer Gail Davis of Gail Davis Designs did here. The warm blue color mixed with traditional wallpaper creates a nice juxtaposition of old meets new. "This cozy spot is nestled among trees in the Pacific Northwest," Cathie Hong of Cathie Hong Interiors explains. "We really embraced the existing warm gray walls and wood trim and layered in soft blush tones, creams, and some black for contrast."

"Symmetrical layout, clean lines, and tonal colors modernized the space dramatically," she says. Modern living rooms are comfortable and inviting spaces built for relaxed family time and casual entertaining. Today's living rooms include elements like ultra-comfortable seating, built-in TV walls, and a focus on natural light. For an intriguing space that skips color altogether, use a mix of textures in your living room.

Pop a cushion-covered bench into the nook of your window to create extra seating and storage too. Create a layered lighting scheme, to make your space feel extra inviting with Lightology's range of wall scones, adjustable reading lights, and display lights. Modern living room ideas have become hives of activity for anything from relaxing, to socializing, Zoom workouts, mindful meditations, and home working. So that you can separate the ‘task at hand,’ try space zoning by creating dedicated areas for each activity. White interiors are timeless, but there are so many shades to consider. Here, designer Jessica Nelson leans toward warm and creamy tones for a more inviting space.

It combines olive limewash walls, a terra-cotta velvet sofa, and eye-catching teal accents. Choose calming colors, soft lights, pleasant textiles, and soothing scents when planning how your living room will be experienced, especially if there's someone in your life with sensory sensitivity. 'Metal in contemporary-style living rooms isn’t to be kept for tables and larger pieces of furniture alone,' adds Quinn. Envelop your lounge with cocooning silhouettes and wavy shapes that flow and soothe the soul. Think sculptural artwork, scalloped edges on accessories, round coffee tables, and sweeping sofas that ‘cuddle’ and promote sharing and socializing. Use a print to bring color into a neutral space, or pick something that has a cohesive feel and works with the scheme you have going on.

These grand, sophisticated, and even cozy living room ideas are sure to inspire your next living room design project. As you pour over fabric and wall patterns, color palettes, furniture, and more, we hope these pictures from our extensive house tour archives provide all the design inspiration you need. If you're working with a small living space, focus on bringing design elements up rather than trying to fit everything within the floor space. Here, the vaulted wood ceiling allows for an elaborate light fixture, while the floor-to-ceiling gray stone fireplace surround creates a backdrop for colorful art. Contemporary design meets traditional decor in this bright and open living room.

There are Peloton bikes in all U.S-branded Hilton hotels, and I’d expect a luxurious resort like the Zemi Beach House to offer the same — or perhaps more modern TechnoGym cardio machines. However, the equipment would suffice for those who want to get a quick sweat in. At the lifeguard stand, you could find snorkeling gear and various non-motorized water sports equipment (like kayaks and stand-up paddle boards), but the water was too rough for anyone to enjoy these free amenities. You’d also find more fruit-infused water and sunscreen, just as there was at the pool stand.

Standard spa services like massages, facials, and body treatments are available. The resort’s gym is stocked with Precor treadmills, elliptical machines, recumbent and stationary bicycles, weight machines, dumbbells, kettle bells, medicine balls. It's open around the clock and trainers can be arranged for a fee. The property also has an astroturf tennis court, plus free rackets and balls. Just steps from their private residences, owners enjoy full access to all of the amenities of Zemi Beach House Resort & Spa.

Some of the island’s best snorkeling reefs are just offshore, and sea turtles take over the mile-plus long sandy beach during egg-laying and hatching season. A handful of restaurants serving Caribbean food -- from simple beach shacks to fine dining -- line the beach and are anywhere from a three- to 10-minute stroll from the property. The nearest ATM is an eight-minute drive from the property and a pharmacy and supermarket are both 15-minute drives from the resort. The Valley, Anguilla’s commercial capital, is around 15 minutes away by car, while it's a 25-minute drive to the Greg Norman-designed golf course across the island. Blowing Point, where you'll find the jetty for ferries to St. Maarten, is 20 minutes away by car. Clayton J. Lloyd International Airport is a 15-minute drive from the hotel.

It’s also where the tasty free breakfast buffet is served -- a huge perk on otherwise pricey Anguilla. Rhum Room is a rum-and-cigar bar that has a number of rare rums that can be sampled. The Bar and Lounge is the resort's open-air bar, serving cocktails and snacks. Zemi Beach House Resort & Spa is nestled on six oceanfront acres on Anguilla’s famous Shoal Bay East adjacent to the Fountain Cavern National Park. A touchstone for living, blending contemporary residential style with experiences anchored in the rich island traditions.

Afterward, I was permitted to use the Thai House Spa’s outdoor facilities, such as the yoga patio. I ordered a green juice ($10) from the juice bar and relaxed in a chair for a couple of hours. Whether you want a break from the sun or want to swim laps, this pool provides significantly more shade than down at the main resort area. Finding somewhere to sit was never an issue, even at the busiest hours, thanks to ample chairs, cabanas, and beach beds — all of which were free for guests. We pulled into the gated entrance of the resort to the lobby where a bellhop swiftly took our bags while our check-in agent provided us with cool towels and a signature rum punch welcome drink.

"Shame on you!" protesters draped in the traditional Palestinian keffiyeh cloth shouted, running after men in tuxedos and suits and women in long dresses who were holding clutch purses as guests hurried inside for the dinner. With hundreds of protesters rallying against the war in Gaza outside the event and concerns over the conflict and humanitarian crisis in Gaza and the perils for journalists covering the conflict, the war hung over this year's event. If you have a loved one dealing with a mental health crisis, Dr. Zucker recommends checking in often and asking about their thoughts. According to psychiatrist Ashley Zucker with Kaiser Permanente San Bernardino, suicide rates have not recovered two years after the pandemic. "Suicide affects everyone. The reception desk is separate from the rest of the resort, so once we were checked in, an agent gave us a tour of the resort on a golf cart. The Zemi Beach House, while a small property, is quite hilly. Although the official check-in time was at 3 p.m., I was able to check in early and enjoy the resort amenities until our room was ready — which ended up being around 1 p.m.

On arrival, the cool towel and free fruit punch guests receive are a nice welcome, and set the tone for the overall laid-back vibe here. While the resort is built into a steep hill -- making post-beach walks a bit of a chore -- the grounds are gorgeous. Cement pathways with brick accents wind through the property, and are framed by palm trees, blossoming flowers, and thick groves of head-high tropical plants. There you'll find a sleek design scheme that includes trellises and fountains. It’s worth noting that Zemi Beach House has its own desalinization facility, solar panels, and all tap water is drinkable.

The highest drafted player by the organization during the McVay era, which began in January 2017, was center Steve Avila with the 36th pick last year. Before you get judgy and start thinking that this is just some soulless corporate promotion, you know that the decor is more than just Rams chic. You can see a sneak peak of the Zillow Draft House, which is located in Hermosa Beach, in the videos below. The current asking price is $16.5 million, but the listing agent is apparently the Rams mascot Rampage, so it's unclear how much wiggle room there is with that price. Gambino said the Glassell Park area where the home is located is popular among artists, musicians and actors. Many people who fit the bill have come to see the house, but it has also attracted a wider range of potential buyers like a chef who would use it entertain, and other business people who are interested in the home as a piece of art.

When we weren’t lounging by the beach, we spent some time at the adults-only pool located next to the fitness center. While there weren’t any ocean views, this was easily the most deserted area of the resort, and I took a nap on one of those king-sized pool beds.

Zemi Beach House opened in February 2016 and the oceanfront property’s guest rooms are privately owned, but managed by the resort. The style throughout is fresh and modern, with a tropical vibe that has just the right touch of Caribbean details. Expect to see accents like gorgeous carved doorways, whitewashed barnacle lamps, and huge chandeliers made of bleached driftwood.

She commends the new White House strategy, but says access to health care is still a huge barrier to overcome for many folks seeking mental health treatment. Given how guarded teams usually are about the draft, it's refreshing to see a franchise open its doors to turn it into a party. The two-bed, two-bath home sits on a quarter-acre lot, and Putman boasted the gardens and terraces as a draw for potential buyers. Plus, it has a great view of the city, she said, making it the ultimate LA outdoor space.

Looking for a beach or oceanfront rental in Los Angeles, California with a pool?

In the primary bathroom, double sinks are painted in a blue floral pattern. The guest bathroom includes a glass-tiled, stand-alone shower. Free breakfast is becoming a rarity at hotels nowadays, so I was glad to see the Zemi Beach House offer an expansive buffet for all of its guests. The selection will cater to virtually everyone, whether you’re looking for American classics like waffles, pancakes, bacon, breakfast sausage, and scrambled eggs, or more “local” flavors including roasted plantains and other vegetables. Every room at Zemi Beach House comes with a private balcony, whether you have a garden or ocean view. Hopefully, you can book (or get upgraded to) a room with unforgettable views of turquoise waters.

There was another robe hanging in the bathroom, and if you’re curious to know what that sign says, it basically asks guests kindly to not take the robes home with them. It’s certainly tempting, as the robes were made from a cozy, knitted material, but you can purchase one of your own at the front desk instead. I also appreciated that there was a hamper in the bathroom where you could place your used towels and robes instead of leaving them on the floor. There was another skinny desk along the back of the bed frame and 2 giant closets with plenty of hangers and drawers for easy storage.

She thanked me for my loyalty to Hilton Honors as a top-tier Diamond member, which is just one of the many perks afforded to me thanks to my Hilton Aspire card. I ultimately couldn’t have been happier to save thousands of dollars, stay at one of the nicest resorts in the Caribbean, and escape New York City for a weekend — wins all around. When we book, we aim for the optimum season for the destination, but we avoid holidays and major public events, when prices are highest. We generally book a room at one category up from the most basic.

Mike was a friend, mentor and brother in business with Fred Ostertag and Kevin Mills. In addition to the Omelet House Mike started many restaurant concepts in Las Vegas. He installed the first drivethru window in LV at the Rancho and Bonanza location. Later, he opened Alias Smith and Jones, a wildly popular watering hole at Paradise and Twain and then went on to open the Burger Garden on Flamingo. In 1979 he opened the Garden Eatery at Charleston and Rancho to try and capture the breakfast, lunch and dinner market in that area. When it became apparent that dinner was not going to be popular in that location he changed to the Omelet house concept to focus exclusively on breakfast and lunch.

That move proved successful and he eventually had up to six locations (there are three still open at the time of his death). It should be noted that many of the people he hired have remained employed at the restaurants for over 30 years. In addition to his business partners, he is survived by his devoted wife, Sun and two sisters and a brother. During the breakfast and open house at the Camp on Sunday, the East Side Big Band will also be playing oldies from 9 am to noon at the Sill Barn.

Types of best different beard styles According to Face Shape

beard design for oval face

With the evenly balanced proportions between the jawline, forehead, and the cheekbones, many consider it to be the perfect face shape for men. After having explored the details of oval face shapes, you can discover all the possibilities featured throughout the site. Bespoke Unit features guides on hairstyles, beards, moustaches and glasses, which each have their own dedicated sections on face shapes. Those with heart-shaped faces typically have a wider forehead, which tapers down to a pointed chin. Grown-out stubble with a mustache, also known as a beardstache, is a great look for guys with heart-shaped faces (à la many popular male musicians). This will help add a bit of fullness to your narrow chin, which will even out the appearance of your entire face.

Use a precision trimmer or scissors to shape the edges of your beard, ensuring a smooth and clean outline. Pay attention to the mustache as well, as it should be neatly groomed and not extend too far beyond the edges of the goatee. With regular maintenance and grooming, you can confidently rock the Circle Beard with style. Its rounded shape helps to add structure and definition, while also complementing the natural contours of your face. Whether you have a sharp jawline or more rounded features, the Circle Beard can enhance your facial symmetry and balance. A full beard is an effective way to give your oval shape face a sophisticated look and make it wavy. The Oval Face Shape: How to Pick a Beard Style for it (Best & Worst)

As we wrap up our exploration of facial hair styles for oval faces, let's quickly recap the top picks. The classic full beard stands out as a timeless choice, adding a touch of masculinity and ruggedness. For those seeking a subtler look, the refined stubble offers elegance and ease. Regardless of the beard style you choose, proper maintenance and grooming are essential to keep your facial hair looking sharp and well-kept.

How to Grow Beard Style For Oval Face

The Balbo beard is characterized by its thin mustache and short chin beard, which are connected to each other but not attached to the sides of the mustache. If you want to grow a beard, the key is to start slow and let your beard grow at its own pace. Be patient and wait until your beard has filled in completely before you begin styling it. This beard style is the result of a full year of beard growth, with only minor trimming to remove the split ends and such. For this style, keep the moustache long and natural, it’s a very manly style. For this next beard style, you can either grow a full beard and trim the cheeks down, or grow it from scratch and trim as you go.

It adds a touch of masculinity and elegance to your overall appearance. An oval face is considered to be an ideal and more versatile option as it’s not too angular. It is also known as a wildcard format as it combines with various beard styles. You can choose a short or long beard and can change the type anytime if you wish. That means with your oval face you can modify the beard by simply changing the style.

# Matching Long Beard with Long Hairstyle

With the right beard style, you can enhance your facial features and exude confidence like never before. So go ahead, experiment with these styles - the great thing about beards is that you can play around constantly, get a beard trim in Denver, and even start again if you need to. Read on for our guide on how to choose the right beard for your face shape, plus our best facial hair tips and products to add to your regular grooming routine. In conclusion, there are numerous beard styles to choose from if you are looking for facial hair styles for oval faces, each offering a unique way to enhance your facial features.

When it comes to facial hair styles for oval faces, customization is key. The right length and volume of your beard can significantly enhance your face’s natural oval shape. The goal is to create a balanced look that accentuates your best features. Choosing the right beard style for an oval face isn't just about keeping up with the latest trends; it's about finding the perfect balance that enhances your natural features.

Exploring the clean-shaven option

To keep things simple, you can use a facial moisturizer with SPF, like the L’Oréal Paris Men Expert Vita Life SPF 15 Anti-Wrinkle & Firming Moisturizer. There are various styles that will suit you if you have an oval shaped face. You can also choose to throw off the symmetry by going clean-shaven. Or you could try and groom your beard to suit your facial features and accentuate them in the best possible way. While beards can add character and style to your appearance, sometimes the clean-shaven look is the best choice.

This style provides a timeless and classic appearance that suits various occasions, from formal events to casual outings. It’s an ideal choice for those who prefer a low-maintenance grooming routine and want to highlight their facial symmetry and the natural contours of their face. A chin strap styled beard circles the chin all the way up to the ears and then slices off that mustache, leaving your upper lip clean.

A scruffy beard is characterized by its unruly and untamed appearance, with facial hair that appears slightly disheveled. It offers a laid-back and relaxed appearance, making it suitable for various settings, from outdoor adventures to casual gatherings. If you’re after a rugged biker vibe, the horseshoe mustache is a fantastic option. The horseshoe mustache is in use for its shape, which resembles an upside-down horseshoe. You can characterize it by its width and distinctive appearance, creating an edgy and unconventional style. This mustache is a statement that exudes a sense of rebellion and individuality.

It’s essentially a classic goatee, except you’ll have a handlebar mustache that curls out on the sides. It has a classic early 1900s feel that is coming back around in the 2000s. Boxed beards are short, full beard styles with neatly trimmed sides, providing a refined and distinguished look. A classic goatee doesn’t have a mustache; you just have hair on your chin area. This style is ideal for a square-shaped head because it shows off that killer jaw in all facets. However, you can also get a petite goatee, which is a smaller variation that serves to elongate the chin.

This style exudes elegance and charm, making it suitable for those who want to make a refined and charismatic impression. The corporate beard gets its name from its smart nature, which makes it well-suited to an office or other corporate environment. It works well on a day off too, adding extra dimension to an oval face shape.

Mutton chops are sort of like a reverse goatee, with hair all down the sideburns – shaving at the chin. Most of the time, mutton chops do not include a mustache – but they certainly can. You’ll want to use an electric razor to cut that beard down as close to the grain as possible without completely clean-shaving it. It's the perfect look for those who want to maintain some facial hair but also want to keep their grooming routine simple and easy.

The right beard can define your jawline, elongate your face, or even add a sense of ruggedness or sophistication to your look. Whether you're aiming for a full beard or a neatly trimmed stubble, each style carries the potential to transform your appearance and boost your confidence. For oval-faced men looking for a bold and trendy beard style, the beardstache is an excellent option. This style combines a mustache with a shorter beard, creating a unique and eye-catching look.

Guests who select the ocean view (OV) or balcony (BL) stateroom types may be assigned partially to fully obstructed views. This fare does not qualify for Early Saver price protection. Carnival will assign the stateroom at a later time. I am looking at my next cruise & $1 deposits I am down for, sale or not.

Big Benefit of Booking a Cruise a Year in Advance (That Most Overlook)

Peruse the fun-filled, unforgettable destinations you can explore with our Black Friday cruise deals, and book your dream vacation at a deeply discounted rate before these offers sail away for good. Then you can kick back, relax, and enjoy the weekend knowing you scored a fabulous deal on your next Carnival vacation. The cruise line is offering a 50% off sale, which can also be applied to the line’s inclusive packages, such as Princess Plus and Princess Premier. If guests book amenities separately, including Wi-Fi, drinks, desserts, fitness classes, and crew gratuities, the savings can be as high as 65%. The small cruise line that’s based out of West Palm Beach, Florida has launched its Black Friday sale. Guests can save up to 30% on a number of perks, including pre-booked beverage packages, specialty dining, shore tours, and more.

Princess Cruises (Updated 2023 Offer)

Deposits for many sailings have dropped to a dollar! Now I did not see if that was per stateroom or per person. They have those excursions discounted as soon as you book, but never any that appeal to me. Plus is also has to match the deposit that you made too.

Royal Caribbean (Updated 2023 Offer)

The biggest shopping days of the year are fast approaching, and cruise lines are getting in on the action with their annual Black Friday — and, in some cases, Cyber Monday booking promotions. These deals can provide substantial savings to cruisers, with discounted fares and a range of onboard perks. One thing to know is that Seabourn includes lots with the cruise fare, including alcohol, restaurants, wi-fi, gratuities, and even caviar.

You can buy discounted gift cards anytime through AARP Rewards (do not have to be an AARP member) or Allstate and you can apply them toward onboard expenses, gratuity, cruise fare, etc. They never discount Cheers (you can always buy it for $5/day less pre-cruise as opposed to onboard). If your cabin goes on sale, you can always ask for a price adjustment, but it has to be before your final payment date (Early Saver rates are a bit different). But at Carnival Cruise Lines, it’s about so much more than where you are going.

There is a Cyber Blowout early saver rate available until November 26 with half off deposits (and up to $50 OBC). I could have paid $125 pp for the Mardi Gras instead of $250 pp. Offer is applicable on sailings through April 2023 where Early Saver is available. Rates are per person, based on category 4A and above, double occupancy, capacity controlled, and cruise only.

Bundle offers for purchasing the fare and drinks together, saving some money overall, you have a better chance. Available on cruises booked through November 27, 2023, the line announced shipboard credits up to $2,000 (US) per suite, and a two-category veranda suite upgrade. Also, Seabourn reduced deposit requirements by 50%. The promotion covers cruises across eight ships, including Costa Smeralda, Costa Toscana, Costa Diadema, Costa Fascinosa, Costa Favolosa, Costa Firenze, Costa Fortuna, and Costa Pacifica. Guest will have to book by December 4, 2023, to enjoy the deal. Heading into the holiday, Royal Caribbean is offering a Black Friday sale with up to $750 off the price of a cruise, as well as 30% off of all cruises, and kids sail free.
